Frequently Asked Questions Do you sell gift cards? Crafty Bubble doesn't currently offer gift cards. What are the payment options? You can see the payment options available on the checkout section. Do you sell cardstock toppers? No, all items are made from wood and acrylic, I do not use cardstock for any toppers so these are sturdy keepsakes that can be used multiple times if looked after. Do you sell branded/themed items? Crafty Bubble doesn't make anything that is copyright. I do not copy other people's work or use logos/branding that infringes copyright. What payment methods do you accept? All major cards accepted. What is your return policy? Returns for personalised items NOT ACCEPTED unless item arrives damaged. In this scenario a replacement will be sent, there is no need to return broken items. Returns on non-personalised items can be accepted but buyer to pay return postage and retain proof of postage. Please include all info with return (NAME/POST CODE/ORDER REFERENCE)

About How It All Began I’m Helene, the person behind all the handmade magic here at Crafty Bubble. I’ve always been creative — as a child, I spent endless hours drawing, painting, and getting messy with glitter and every art medium you can imagine. You name it, if it was art, I loved it and never got tired of it. I used to draw until my pencils were barely bigger than the end of my fingers! By my mid-twenties, I knew I wanted to turn that creativity into something real, making people happy and creating pieces that really mean something. Working for myself. Doing something i love...all day, every day. The best feeling for me is seeing the reaction of a customer when they’re blown away by something I’ve made. Nothing beats it. The business first started off with handmade plaques featuring quotes and small decorative items — all crafted, hand-drilled, and decorated by me in my workshop at home. As demand grew, I began sourcing laser-cut shapes to save time on cutting, so I could focus more on the decorating and personalising side of things. In 2012, I was in full-time work after travelling America and had saved hard to buy my house. The year after, I built my workshop at home, and after only 18 months of working and saving, I took the leap and went self-employed. From day one, I was busy, and just a year later, I invested in my own laser cutter. When I first started out, I was trying to make everything and anything—dabbling in all sorts of handmade creations, but like they say, putting too many eggs in one basket didn’t bring in enough sales because I was spreading myself too thin. One day, over a coffee, I had a moment of clarity: I needed to focus my efforts on one area and do it really well. That’s when I decided to put my energy into the cake industry. Since then, I’ve been proudly supplying beautiful, handcrafted cake toppers to bakers across the country as well as to regular customers looking for that perfect finishing touch for family and friends’ special events. By 2017, I completely overhauled and extended my workshop, adding a second laser cutter to keep up with demand. For 7-8 years, I worked frantically—often 17-hour days—but the business thrived, especially during lockdown. I saved my government grants to invest wisely in a dream piece of equipment I’d had my eye on for years, taking my business to the next level. In the past, I’ve also taken on wholesale orders, created cake toppers for celebrities, and designed little personalised items for big brand corporate/VIP events. 2025 carves a different path for my business. Adapting to new customer shopping habits and creative and additional ways of selling — including TikTok Shop and going international on Etsy — I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and learning digital and social media marketing, picking up new skills as I go. You may soon see some fabric items along the way as I also take on a sewing course to add to the diversity of my product range.
